'Bringing the cell and gene therapy communities together for the benefit of all’

The LRMN is one of the world’s largest and most successful cell and gene therapy networks. Founded in 2005, the LRMN remains an independent ‘not for profit’ organization firmly embedded in the community. This grass-roots network is free for all to join and prides itself on its inclusivity. The network has over 6,000 members drawn from all the stakeholder groups both UK and internationally-based, including: the general public, patients, patient groups, politicians, students, scientists, clinicians, engineers, industrialists, funding agencies, regulators and the media. The LRMN holds regular monthly meetings, which are free to attend, and focused on the entire spectrum of cell and gene therapy, but always with a commitment to translation. By 2015, approximately 260 international speakers have presented to around 20,000 participants.

The LRMN has enabled countless introductions as well as facilitating numerous collaborations and several journal launches. Through its extensive networking activities, the LRMN is totally focused on accelerating the attainment of one common goal: the delivery of safe, efficacious cell and gene therapies that can be affordably manufactured at scale for use in routine clinical practice.
